This is a hands-on oil painting class where you will learn all the basics of painting in oils. Lessons are fun and break everything into understandable pieces. You will make your own works on canvas, explore art history, and enjoy some creative warm-up exercises and demonstrations.

Explore the beauty of oil paints as we dive into expanding your skill-base in painting. We will dive deep into being able to express our vision looking at elements such as: working with neutrals, simplifying, controlling value structure, color balance, and materials.

​Join us for a series of sound hikes on the Ucross Ranch with Confluences, an emplaced sound experience created by Ucross artist-alumni Teri Rueb and Laurids Sonne. Ucross staff will guide visitors on a private trail on the ranch as interactive areas of sound play.
